The roses of Apple Juliet®
Ingredients• 1 roll of puff pastry
• 1 Juliet® apple
• a little apricot jam or apple jelly
Remove the core from the Juliet® apple, cut the apple in half, then cut both halves into very thin slices, which you will soak in warm lemon water*. Soak for a good half hour (the slices should be soft).
Cut the puff pastry into strips 5-6 cm wide. Spread a little jam on the pastry. Arrange the Juliet® apple slices in a staggered pattern along the top edge of the puff pastry strip. The apples should stick out sufficiently. Fold the bottom edge of the puff pastry over the Juliet® apple slices.
Roll gently to form a rose shape. Place in a muffin tin. Repeat until all the puff pastry is used up.
Bake in the oven for about 20 to 30 minutes at 200°C. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar.
